A new Comedy for Miley Cyrus



Paramount has picked up an untitled comedy where Miley Cyrus is attached to star and produce.  The precise details are under wraps, but the premise involves “a broken promise to God.”  

Robert De Niro in talks to join The Silver Linings Playbook


David O. Russell will round up an impressive cast to star in his next feature, an adaptation of The Silver Linings Playbook. Mark Wahlberg dropped out due to a scheduling and Bradley Cooper is in talks to replace him. Jennifer Lawrence gets the female lead and Robert De Niro is in negotiations for a role in the movie. The Weinstein Company production will shoot in the fall.

Clash of the Titans 2 = Wrath of the Titans



Warner Bros and Director Jonathan Liebesman have finally picked a title for Clash of the Titans 2, that new title is Wrath of the Titans. Sam Worthington, Ralph Fiennes, Liam Neeson and Danny Huston are all back, joined by Bill Nighy, Toby Kebbell and Rosamund Pike. Wrath of the Titans will be released in the US on  March 30, 2012. 

Non-Stop new film by Dark Castle


Dark Castle has purchased a script entitled Non-Stop to be produced by Joel Silver and has set Cry Wolf’s Jeff Wadlow to direct. Details are currently few for this thriller, but the storyline is said to revolve around an air marshall and an ordeal that occurs while the plane is in-flight.


Cary Fukunaga will direct Spaceless


Jane Eyre  director Cary Fukunaga has signed on to direct Universal Pictures’s sci-fi project Spaceless. Based on a script by Jeff Vintar (I, Robot), the project involves an interstellar assassin who, after trying to fulfill a contract aboard a space station, awakens to find himself drifting helplessly through space in a computerized spacesuit. Gore Verbinksi is attached to the project as a producer.
